After asking myself the really big questions, I left the tribe of the religious and embraced the reality of life. In doing so I developed a beautiful, meaning-filled life.
Religion isn’t the answer
Look around the world today and you can see wars fought, lives needlessly lost, airplanes being flown into high rise buildings killing innocent men, women, and children - and all in the name of religion or God.
The meaningful life you’re looking for is within you and doesn’t depend on sacred books of old. I like what the Buddha said -
“Believe nothing merely because you have been told it. Do not believe what your teacher tells you merely out of respect for the teacher. But whatsoever, after due examination and analysis, you find to be kind, conducive to good, and of benefit to the welfare of all beings — that doctrine believe and cling to, and take it as your guide.”
